I’ve used Quicken for Windows on a Mac using VMWare Fusion and Windows 7 for several years (and WinXP in Fusion before that). Here’s a trick I recently learned to speed up Quicken 2015 and 2016 for Windows, which sometimes launch extremely slowly even after rebooting Windows. Use Outlook for Mac with your keyboard and VoiceOver, the built-in Mac OS screen reader, to zoom in, or enlarge, the text of an email and make it easier to read. You can also zoom out and return to the original text size.
Make Font Larger In Quicken For Mac 2016 Manual
Just purchased a new Windows 10 All-In-One computer for our kitchen and when I installed and opened Quicken 2014, all of the fonts are completely off. The account bar on the left is so small that it's unreadable, and the register fonts are huge. Unfortunately, when I increase the font size in the View so I can read the accounts on the left, the register lettering is so large that only five or six characters fit on the screen. I can't believe Intuit never created a patch that would allow Quicken 2014 to run in a Windows 10 environment. ***Post moved by the moderator to the appropriate forum category.***.

It's not Windows 10 really, this problem is because your new computer has a HD display with many more pixels. Quicken program 'thinks' it is still showing the same size as always. But a 10-pixel sized font looks a lot smaller when you have so many more pixels than before. Apple had the same problem when they came out with Retina Display, which is the same as the HD monitors that all new computers have, only app used the special 'Retina' brand name. Like Apple had to do when they forced all their programmers to rebuild new apps that work on HD screens, Quicken has to do that too. So give them a call, tell them you have a HD screen (High DPI).
It's likely that newer versions of Quicken are already build to understand high-DPI screens, but it's up to you if you want to buy the new one or not. No they're not! I just bought and installed Quicken 2016, and was really disappointed for the scaling is pitiful to say the least. It is usable, but nothing is proportional. We were anticipating a really slick and professional interface, but instead it looks like a child's toy in comparison to 2014.
We had to go into every single account, change the registry font to Arial, choose the smallest size, and remove the Tag column to get the balance column to appear on a 24' display! It's still not even close to the well proportioned 2014 version. The font height is too big for the horizontal bars of the registry. Instead of using 60% of the verticle bars height, even the smallest text nearly fills the entire verticle space, making the register look like a blob of sentences jammed close together. Q2016 is really unstable on a high def display so don't waste your money upgrading. Keep using 2014 as long as you can. For a company that forces its users to buy their software every three years, you would expect at least a sophisticated overhaul but this upgrade is simply garbage!
