The google drive app seems to sync regardless of the pop up being satisfied. However, the pop up keeps popping up on my system such that I may have three or four of them splattered all over my computer screens, disabling my ability to see necessary program windows they insist on being atop of. A quick hack is to open the application (show contents) and find the graphics in the Resources folder. The app has graphics for both light and dark mode already. The dark mode graphics are the same name as the regular mode, just have '-inverse' added at the end. If you remove the regular graphics and remove the '-inverse' from the name of the white graphics, Drive will accept the new graphics and you will have perfect dark mode graphics.

Close Drive and reopen to apply the change. Make sure you back up the renamed graphics, as Drive fixes this hack occasionally and you need to do the rename again. Console program for mac os. Got tired of waiting. Took your suggestion with one modification that should prevent it from reverting. Instead of deleting the non-inverted.png file, I instead did the following: 1. Temporarily add -invers to each of the two non-inverted.png files 2. Removed -inverse from each of the inverted files. Go back to the regular files with -invers added and add an e so they are properly labelled -inverse This allows you to reverse the labelling of the files and no lose track of what you're doing, preventing a mix up. Make sure Google Drive is not running and then re-label the application 'Google Drive-Dark Mode' or something you'll recognize as different.

Now you have a special version that works for dark mode and should stay that way. If you want to go back to the original, just download it again from Google.
